Getting Started
Unlike blackjack or roulette, which have numerous betting options, baccarat has only three bets that you can make: Player, Banker, and Tie. These bets can be made before the croupier deals the cards, which are dealt face up. After the cards are dealt, the winner is determined by the hand with the highest value. The winning hand must have a total closest to nine, with the number 9 being the best possible score. If the hand totals more than nine, the first digit is dropped (a seven and a six would total 13, for example).
The croupier will then compare both hands. If either the Player or the Banker has a higher value, that is the winner. If neither has a higher value, the hand is tied and no winner is declared. Side bets

These side bets are placed on the player, banker, or tie outcomes of each hand. If you correctly predict a winning player hand, you’ll qualify for a 1:1 payout. If you bet on the Banker, you’ll need to pay a 5% commission, which reduces your payout odds to 1:9. Lastly, if you bet on a winning tie, you’ll receive a payout of 8:1.
